How Vulkan works.

Three things an installer does with it: set the air volume, seat it in the plenum, and take the cover off when the duct needs reaching.

Vulkan three-blade adjustable damper that sets the air volume Adjustable damper
Vulkan sealing contour that grips the inside of the plenum box spigot Sealing contour
Vulkan clamping ring with the three magnets that hold the cover Magnets in the ring
01 — AIR VOLUME

Set the flow by hand

Turn the damper and the gap changes with it, so the room gets the air volume it needs. Done by hand from the room side, while the system is being balanced.

02 — CONNECTION

Seat it in the plenum

The rubber contour grips the inside of the plenum-box spigot, so the diffuser sits tight in the pipe — no leakage around the joint, and no draught finding its way back through it.

03 — ACCESS

Magnets hold the cover

The cover is held on by magnets — pull it off by hand. Lift out the damper as well and the duct is clear, so the plenum box and ductwork can be cleaned with nothing unscrewed from the ceiling.

Airflow behaviour

The 45° bowl is what spreads the air

Vulkan's bowl is formed at 45°, and that angle is the whole point of the shape. Supply air leaving the diffuser curls, attaches itself to the ceiling and runs along it before easing out into the room — the Coandă effect. The room fills evenly instead of taking a column of air straight down onto whoever is standing underneath.

The clamping ring draws the ceiling membrane into the body, so the finished ceiling and the cover sit in one plane. Air leaves through the ring-shaped gap around the cover, and the 45° bowl turns it along the ceiling.

On the job

Why fitters keep specifying it.

Vulkan is chosen for what it does on site: it moves air the way it should, it goes in fast, and it is made of steel in every size the market actually asks for.

It distributes air properlyThe bowl is formed at 45°. That angle is what makes supply air curl out of the diffuser and run along the ceiling instead of dropping onto the people below, so the room fills evenly.
It goes in fastFitting a PVC stretch ceiling normally means heating the film to pull the creases out around the fitting. With Vulkan you don't — the ceiling goes on and the diffuser sits flat, which is where the installation time is saved.
It seals into the plenumThe rubber contour grips the inside of the plenum-box spigot, so the diffuser sits tight in the pipe. Nothing leaks around the joint and no draught works its way back through it.
Why Vulkan

What you actually get.

Even air distribution

The 45° bowl sends supply air along the ceiling, so it reaches the whole room instead of dropping straight down.

Fast to install

No heating the PVC film to work creases out around the fitting — the ceiling goes on and the diffuser sits flat.

Steel, in every size

Pressed steel with a polymer powder coating, in the three connection diameters the market asks for: Ø100, Ø125, Ø160.

In the room

Ceilings you don't notice.

Vulkan reads as a flush circle in the ceiling plane, so the ventilation stays out of the way of the interior.

FAQ

Common questions

Match it to the duct or plenum spigot you already have: Vulkan 100 for a bathroom or WC extract, Vulkan 125 for most rooms, Vulkan 160 where the air volume is higher. Send us the duct size on WhatsApp and we'll confirm it.

PVC stretch ceilings, fabric stretch ceilings, and plasterboard. On a stretch ceiling the clamping ring draws the membrane in and grips it, so the ceiling finishes level with the cover — and the film needs no heating to work creases out around the fitting, which is where most of the fitting time normally goes.

A pressed steel body with a polymer powder coating, a rubber contour that seals it into the plenum spigot, a three-blade adjustable damper, and magnets that hold the cover on. Every size is built the same way.
